Superbowl Snack: Sarah Anstett's Cincinnati-Style Chili, January 30, 2010
My brother-in-law and his wife went to college at Xavier University in Cincinnati, and lived there for several years after graduation. They both developed a fondness for Cincinnati-Style Chili, and continue to make it years after they moved to Fargo. Cincinatti-style chili is frequently served over hot dogs or spaghetti, and is a regional classic.

My sister-in-law, Sarah Anstett, is a terrific cook with a vast repertoire of recipes. Since her husband, Joe, loves football, I've asked her to share some of her favorite dishes with us for our Superbowl Show. This Mac n' Cheese is one of the best I've ever tasted, and I know you will love it, too!

This is a delicious and healthy recipe that will enhance your fitness diet. I have served this with poached salmon, but you can enjoy it with chicken, fish, pasta, or by itself.

This is a classic Italian recipe for the holiday season. Cauliflower is a winter season vegetable, and we have featured this soup many times at Sarello's - it is always a hit. We are so accustomed to seeing raw cut cauliflower on vegetable trays throughout the season, that most of us don't consider using this great vegetable in other ways. People are always surprised by how much they enjoy this particular soup, and we hope you will be, too!
Sunny Mathison's Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie
Sunny Mathison, Sarah's grandmother, featured this dessert for her family when they were growing up in the 1950's and 60's and it is great alternative to the classic pumpkin pie.
Marilyn Anstett's Pumpkin Trifle
My mother-in-law Marilyn is a terrific cook, and this is her version of a recipe inspired by Paula Deen. This dessert is not only delicious, but also beautiful. Enjoy!

Sarah is pressed for time this weekend, so she needs a quick and easy, but delicious, recipe for Tony's Sunday dinner. She will be making a recipe that was featured in the Hotdish Hot Seat in November of 2008 - Karen Seljevold's Chicken Pot Pie. This recipe is fool-proof, and can be made in advance and frozen for up to 2 months.

It's all about Greece today! DR. PETER SCHULTZ, Chair of the Dept. of Art at Concordia College and resident expert on all things Greek was with us for the first hour of the show.
